Match report

Hawks vs redwings;

Redwings go into the game looking to maintain their 100% winning record in the season.

Corner taken from Oscar and Thomas pokes it home from close range after only 5 minutes of play and make the early pressure pay.

Kyran then switches defence to attack with a lovely cross field pass Charlie collects good run and out for a corner.

Good pressure by hawks as they start to come back into the game a bit and it leads to 2 shots one which is saved by Cameron smartly and one shot going wide of the target.

Great skill by Charlie in the attacking end of the park leads to a chance but redwings can’t convert.

Hawks come forward and nearly score but combination of Cameron and Ashton clear the ball away and out of the net.

Great run and cross from Kyran who beats two players and Charlie is there at the back post and finishes neatly - 2 -0 after 20 minutes.

25 minutes gone and great battling from Ashton and Tyler who feeds Charlie great ball through to Oscar who scores in bottom corner, nice team play and goal making it 3-0.

More comfortable now and deserved lead for the redwings.

Jayden stops yet another attack and immediately turns defence into attack leading to another redwings chance.

Great defending from Thomas and Kyran prevents a corner and redwings go into the break with a handy lead.

Half time - 3-0

Second half;

Coaches remind the players about their second half performance from the week before and how their performance tailed off and to not to let it happen again and the importance of keeping a clean sheet!

Redwings kick off and redwings take on the advice as Jayden plays a chipped ball into Oscar onto Tyler first time lovely cross ball to Leyton who shoots wide.

Lovely play and nearly a great goal.

Soon after great combination play starting from Jayden at the back leads to another chance and redwings are playing some great football now. Even the referee who was brilliant throughout complimented the play from redwings!

Hawks have a rare break and shoot bottom corner but Cameron dives low and saves well.

Great play again by redwings with some one touch passing from back to front but Leyton can’t finish but great play again.

Great battling and defending from Jayden and Thomas keep hawks out. Thomas then goes in goal for the last 15.

Cameron straight out of goal skills a player but shoots wide preventing him from scoring after only being out of goal for 30 seconds!

Hawks have a rare attack and redwings switch off which leads to Kyran heading the ball off the line to protect the clean sheet.

Leyton and Tyler display some good dribbling skills on either wing trying to get the break through for our fourth.

Redwings attack down the right with ashton feeding it to Charlie who whips in a great cross and good first time finish from Oscar on edge of box - 4-0 after 50 minutes.

The crowd are then entertained by Thomas in goal who took the phrase ‘sweeper keeper’ to a new level!

Cameron then dribble past one and is fouled on the edge of the box. The hawks reluctantly form a wall with players saying they are ‘going to get killed’ ringing out!

They shouldn’t have feared though as Cameron strikes a lovely free kick which sails into the top bins - great goal - 5-0 after 58 minutes.

End of game - hawks 0-5 redwings.

A top top performance by all players and as a team who played really well and thoroughly deserved the 5-0 victory well played redwings ??

MOTM - Thomas who opened his scoring for the redwings and played great either in midfield or defence as he has since joining the redwings! Goalkeeping albeit entertaining may be not for him moving forward ?
